New sports complexes for refugees and host communities in Uganda
Refugees and their host communities in five districts of Uganda, including Kamwenge, Kiryandongo, Terego, Yumbe, and Madi Okollo, will benefit from the Uganda Support to Municipalities and Infrastructure Development initiative, funded by the Government of Uganda and the World Bank. This initiative has seen a modern sports complex built in each of the districts. The facilities, constructed with ten billion shillings in World Bank funding, were handed over to State Minister for Sports Peter Ogwang, who was accompanied by officials from the National Council of Sports.
