UAC launches guidelines on tackling HIV stigma, discrimination
The Uganda AIDS Commission has today launched the National Policy Guidelines on how to tackle stigma and discrimination in Uganda. This follows concerns that stigma prevents people from checking their status and others fear picking their medicine fearing what others might think of them. Speaking to NTV, the Director-General of Uganda Aids Commission Dr Nelson Musoba said the new policy spells out procedures to be followed by affected persons.
