Stakeholders recommend tougher punishments for traffic offenses
The new Traffic and Road safety Public Service Vehicles Regulations 2021 Act recommends measures to control reckless driving and rearrangement of the public transport system. Winstone Katushabe, the Commissioner Transport Regulation and Safety in the ministry of works said there is a plan in the policy to open traffic courts to expedite cases and ensure justice for the victims.
