Somali community appeals for help
The Somali community in Kisenyi in Kampala have joined the long queue of people appealing for assistance, on the grounds that they are adversely affected by the Covid-19 lockdown. They argue that they can nolonger afford to buy food to eat, following a collapse in trade in the area. They are also concerned that some of their wives and daughters could be lured into prostitution to survive. This has prompted some assistance from locals in the area.
