Government prioritises saving money in agency merger
Government is planning to prioritise the rationalisation of salaries during the process of merging over 180 agencies, commissions, authorities and entities in a major re-organisation exercise intended to resolve disparities in pay among civil servants. Introducing the programme to the public, the state minister for public service David Karubanga says they hope to complete the programme over the next two years, saving government billions of shillings in inflated pay.
