Uganda Shilling hits 3930/3940, lowest since 2020
The Uganda shilling has recently declined, trading at what traders refer to as psychological levels at an average exchange rate of 3930/3940, lows last seen in 2020. The local currency has dropped by 4% since January. NTV spoke to Alpha Capital Partners Managing Director Stephen Kaboyo, who said the situation means that households may have to dig deeper into their pockets to afford goods and services.
