Traffic police to get stricter with express penalties
Police has issued a directive to arrest and charge all drivers violating traffic laws and guidelines instead of subjecting them to the express penalty scheme. The police has noted that the primary objective of the scheme was to deter road users from committing offences, but drivers continue to commit more crimes even with the scheme.
