Bill threatens State funding for non-IPOD parties
Any political party or organisation not affiliated with the Inter-party Organisation for Dialogue (IPOD) will be denied access to state funding or resources in the future if President Museveni signs the Political Parties and Organisations Amendment Bill, 2025, into law. This decision follows Parliament's approval of the Bill this morning, which aims to standardise the requirements for public funding for political parties and organisations.
