REGULATING DRUGS: NDA asks parliament to pass enabling laws
The National Drug Authority is appealing to the newly constituted parliamentary committee on health to fast track the enactment of the 2009 National Food and Drug Authority Bill. According to the authority’s chairperson Dr. Medard Bitekyerezo, the delay in enacting this bill has allowed the theft of government drugs by unscrupulous health officials to go unpunished.
