Gen. Katumba Wamala says surviving gun attack was the hardest moment of his life
He may have survived many military battles, but the Minister of Works and Transport, Gen Edward Katumba Wamala, says surviving his most recent attack by unknown gunmen was the hardest moment of his life—especially after losing his daughter, Brenda Nantongo, during that incident.
Reflecting on his life experiences, Gen Katumba noted that his time in and out of the army has exposed him to the various ways the country confronts challenges. This, he says, inspired him to write a biography titled Endurance, which was formally unveiled at an event in Entebbe.
He explained that he wanted many of his life experiences to serve as valuable lessons for young people. Gen Katumba Wamala also revealed that he plans to use proceeds from the book to support cancer patients at Mulago Hospital.
