Speaker Oulanyah expresses concern over rising teenage pregnancies
The Speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah has expressed concern at the rate at which school-age children get pregnant. Oulanyah says someone could be sleeping on his job to fight teenage pregnancies in the country. A recent survey by the World vision in only 48 districts of Uganda revealed that 298,000 girls got pregnant in the year 2020. Oulanyah is also concerned that many of these children who were protected during birth from acquiring HIV are now facing double jeopardy on HIV and pregnancies.
