Soroti city grapples with local government wrangles
No one is exactly sure why Soroti Municipality became a city or how it got onto the list of cities. Most of the residents and business community NTV interviewed says they have not benefited from living in a city, because their expectations were not met. The wrangles between the district’s local government and the city are also impinging on the provision of social services.
