PM Nabbanja visits northern Uganda over “balaalo” problem
Prime minister Robinah Nabbanja has said government is in no way connected or involved in activities of pastoralists roaming northern Uganda for pasture for their animals. According to area leaders and some residents, the herdsmen who are commonly called ‘balaalo’ even carry firearms and behave like they have powerful backers. Earlier this month, President Museveni gave the balaalo two months to leave northern Uganda.
