Museveni asks varsities to design solution-focused courses
President Yoweri Museveni has asked universities to reassess and improve their teaching to enable learners to address real societal problems. He emphasized the need to focus on maximizing societal benefits, such as value addition, to boost both individual incomes and the country at large.
The president was at Makerere University, where he officiated the opening of the restored Makerere University Main Building, which was damaged by a fire in 2020. At the same event, Dr. Crispus Walter Kiyonga was installed as the new Chancellor of the institution, succeeding Dr. Ezra Suruma.
