Lango farmers ask for agricultural implements
Some tree farmers in Lango Sub-region have attributed environmental degradation in the area to high costs of agricultural implements which have discouraged the local communities from planting their own forests and instead depend heavily on natural forests for firewood, timber, and charcoal. However, the Food and Agriculture Organization has come up to provide grants and technical support to the private sector and local communities to increase the income of the rural population and mitigate the effects of environmental degradation in Lango Sub-region.
