Jinja bridge lit up in commemoration of World Patient Safety Day
Jinja district has joined the rest of the world to mark World Patient Safety Day by lighting the Jinja bridge. The World Patient Safety Day is observed to enhance the global understanding of patient safety, public engagement in the safety of health care as well as promoting global actions to enhance patient safety and reduce patient harm. Considering the significant burden of risks and harm women and newborns are exposed to due to unsafe care, compounded by the disruption of essential health services caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign is even more important this year.
