Activists petition speaker Kadaga on re-opening schools
A delegation of members of the Early Childhood Development Association of Uganda on Tuesday met with the Speaker of Parliament seeking her intervention to have pre-primary schools be opened at the same time with the other non-candidate classes set to resume on the 1st of March, 2020. The Association members proved to speaker that the risk of spreading COVID-19 among pre-primary pupils at school is very limited compared to when they are kept at home.The Speaker promised to present this matter to the floor of parliament.
