Treasury secretary urges local companies to seize opportunities
The Secretary to the Treasury, Ramathan Goobi, is rallying local companies to quickly seize business opportunities in the FY 2024/2025 budget. He told a private sector post-budget dialogue that now is the time for local suppliers to seek deals in numerous government projects in the next financial year worth 2.64 trillion shillings. This is on top of the huge infrastructure projects budget, such as the standard gauge railway, with a budget of close to 5 trillion shillings.
