Regional banking players eye oil prospects
Local and regional banking industry captains meeting in Kampala today have discussed the opportunities in the oil and gas industry and the future of banking and sustainability. This comes on the back of growing global calls for financiers to adhere to climate financing standards. According to officials, a tour of Uganda’s oil fields in Buliisa and Murchison Falls National Park is scheduled for tomorrow. The conference has brought together bank CEOs from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda’s institutes of banking.
