UNCTAD CONFERENCE: Vaccine inequity bad for global business
The secretary-general United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Rebeca Grynspan warns, that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to undermine global and regional supply chains and the global economy unless vaccine access is boosted in developing countries given that production systems are interconnected.
This was also the message shared by various speakers at UNCTAD’s 15th quadrennial conference held in Barbados, during the second ministerial round-table discussion on reshaping global and regional value chains. Uganda’s state minister for industry David Bahati was also in attendance.
