On Thursday, The European Union parliament passed a resolution on violations of human rights in Uganda and Tanzania linked to investments in fossil fuels projects. The resolution called for several actions from EU members, the governments of Uganda and Tanzania and the oil company Total Energies that if implemented could have far-reaching effects on the future of Uganda's oil and gas sector.
