Low voter turnout in Wakiso during NRM LC elections
There was low voter turnout at the most of the polling stations in Wakiso District during the NRM local council elections. A section of voters blamed it on poor arrangement by the party leadership, while some of the candidates who spoke to NTV blamed the low numbers on the short period given to candidates to traverse the highly populated area in only two weeks. By 4pm, there were hardly any signs of tallying the results at the Wakiso District headquarters. Sudhir Byaruhanga reports.
