ORGANIC EXPORTS: National Organic Agriculture policy sets the pace
The new National Organic Agricultural Policy has now set the pace for an ambitious drive by sector actors to establish at least 100 smallholder farmers and be absorbed in the Global organic chains, whose market is estimated at $100 Billion. Among others, the new organic farmer holdings in different parts of the country will be supported with set up infrastructure and certification as a measure of primary compliance for an international market in which Uganda earns just $60 annually.
