Finally, Uganda’s campaign at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier in Gaborone came to a painful end at the semifinal stage after the Victoria Pearls lost to Zimbabwe by 14 runs this afternoon.
All-rounder Precious Marange was the difference with 40 runs off 25 balls and one wicket for 8 runs in 4 overs as Zimbabwe set 108 runs and bowled out Uganda for 94 runs. Uganda will now play Tanzania in the bronze medal match on Sunday morning as Zimbabwe lock horns with Namibia in the grand finale.
