UPDF deployed after armed men raid Kitgum villages
Unknown armed men cited in Kitgum District: Kitgum. Lead Residents of Kitgum district are living in fear following the heavy deployment of the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) in the areas alleged to be operation zones for unknown armed men. Last month, a group of armed men invaded Lucom village, Okuti parish in Orom East sub-county and battered people who were in the garden and others alleged to have been abducted. In response, the army has since heavily deployed in the areas of Namukora, Orom and Mucwini sub-county to ensure security is guaranteed. Polycarp Kalokwera reports
