Stakeholders in Uganda's horticulture sector are calling on the government to take action against cartels and brokers, they say are increasingly dominating the market chain. Juliet Kyokunda, the country director for TechnoServe Uganda, says cartels in the horticulture sector manipulate prices and control markets, inflating prices for consumers while offering lower returns to farmers.
