Uganda marks World Day against trafficking; Kalangala a trafficking destination
Today, Uganda joined the world in commemorating the World Day against Trafficking in Persons. Kalangala District is now a destination for trafficked children and women, most of whom end up in forced marriages, as laborers, or working as commercial sex workers in the numerous bars that dot the 84 islands that make up the district.
