PAC faults Museveni over youth fund recovery
The Parliamentary Accounts Committee on Local Government has faulted President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for allegedly sabotaging the recovery of funds disbursed under the Youth Livelihood Programme. The President is accused of politicising the programme, shielding defaulters, and undermining their arrests by granting them immunity as his voters. PAC Chairperson Gilbert Olanya says that most local governments across the country have reported the challenge and have since called for the programme to be written off.
