Several security personnel deployed in Kyegegwa to trail presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat have sustained injuries after the police pick up truck they were travelling in plunged into a wetland at Kyatega town council in Kyegegwa. According to eyewitnesses, the speeding police pick up truck UP 1302 was overtaking Amuriat's security detail. The security personnel attached to Amuriat seated at the back of the Electoral Commission pick up truck registration number UG 0815B escaped with minor injuries. The incident happened a few kilometers away from Kyegegwa town council where the deployed security personnel had attempted to prevent the presidential candidate from going through the town.
