Gov’t issues strict guidelines for pastoralists in Northern Uganda
The government has said anyone moving livestock in parts of northern and northeastern Uganda must have a permit issued by the district of origin’s veterinary officer. This is among 13 temporary guidelines that are hoped, will prevent the spread of disease and stop the illegal movement of livestock in these areas. State minister for animal industry Bright Rwamirama says the guidelines will apply till 31st March 2022.
