Calls to resettle displaced indigenous Ugandans mark global day
As Uganda joins the globe in commemorating the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples today, cultural rights advocates are renewing calls to the central government to fully resettle people grappling with displacement. They say this will not only enable them to enjoy and practice their cultural rights but also enhance their food security. This year’s global theme is “Indigenous Peoples and Artificial Intelligence: Defending Rights, Shaping Futures.”
