Buliisa education deptature seeks more funds for MDD activities
The Buliisa District Education Department is calling on the central government, through the Ministry of Education and Sports, to increase funding for Music, Dance, and Drama (MDD) activities in the district. Buliisa District currently receives ten million Uganda shillings for MDD each financial year from the Education Ministry, but the money is shared among over 30 government-aided primary schools in the area. Each quarter, the education department receives close to three million shillings for MDD activities, yet the equipment required for MDD is very expensive.
