Bobi Wine speaks on talk of negotiations to free MPs
The MP for Kawempe North Muhammad Ssegirinya says that doctors have advised him to take a two-month break before resuming work. Speaking to NTV via phone video, Ssegirinya said he was not feeling well after his long stay in prison. The National Unity Platform NUP member and his colleague Allan Ssewanyana were granted bail on Monday. They had been arrested and charged with murder related to a spate of killings in the Greater Masaka region in 2021. Meanwhile, NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi has said he is not aware of any negotiations with the government that facilitated the MPs' release.
