PFF party adjusts guidelines to allow nominations in absentia
The People's Front for Freedom party has started issuing expression of interest forms and plans to adjust its guidelines to allow nominations in absentia. Should this be implemented, Dr Kizza Besigye's fate could be pivotal in Uganda's 2026 elections as the change in electoral guidelines could give him room to rival President Museveni for the fifth time, despite being behind bars.
