NUP nomination internal processes raise questions
On the final day for picking and returning Expression of Interest forms at the National Unity Platform headquarters, several prominent party figures have made their intentions known. They include Party Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, who is eyeing the Kampala Central parliamentary seat, as well as incumbent MPs Francis Zaake (Mityana Municipality), Denis Ssekabira (Katikamu North), and Ronald Balimwezo, now seeking to become Kampala Lord Mayor.
With the process now closed, the party’s electoral management committee is set to convene to evaluate the submissions and release official statistics and the next steps in a forthcoming communication.
