COST OF ADMINISTRATION: High administration costs affect revenue mobilisation
Government has been advised to watch its ballooning cost of public administration which according to the government accountant general is the single impediment to effective revenue mobilisation. In his presentation to officials at the launch of the 5th public expenditure and financial accountability assessment, Lawrence Semakula also warned that non-compliance to public financial management reforms is depriving local firms of participation in government contracts.
