Wheel chair bound athletes join rugby game
Two athletic paralympians Richard Ocira and Peace Oroma are among the para-athletes that have chosen to embrace para-rugby, a sport newly introduced to Uganda. The duo alongside other para-athletes today converged at the Uganda Olympics Committee offices to take part in a virtual training by International Para-Rugby Federation tutors. Ocira and Oroma vowed to promote the sport among people living with disabilities in their communities.
Meanwhile Jairus Wanyera, the president of Uganda Para-Rugby Association has guided on how the game is played.
