Infrastructure bottlenecks slow down distance athletes
It is a given that no sport can scale the heights without proper infrastructure. This is especially true with distance running, which is expected to shoulder the vast bulk of Uganda’s medal chances at the forthcoming Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. We have been to Kapchorwa where most of Team Uganda’s distance athletes go through their paces. As Felix Manyindo reports, the report card does not make for good reading.
