Why government has failed to resolve the unending labour strikes
There is growing concern among health workers and other civil servants after the government failed to implement the Collective Bargaining Agreement signed by the government with several labour unions. The approved salary scale for medical interns has created acrimony among the separate fraternities of the group over pay discrepancies. With the representatives of the association of the intern nurses and midwives giving the government a 15-day ultimatum to address salary concerns the foundation for crisis has been laid.
