Water crisis sparks violence in Karamoja
After a recent severe water crisis in Kotido district, Karamoja region, tensions escalated and violence surged. To address the crisis, numerous measures are being implemented. The scarcity of clean water has forced communities to resort to animal feeding points. Women traveling long distances for water have fallen victim to attacks by criminals.
