URA releases Bobi Wine’s car
The Uganda Revenue Authority has released a bulletproof car recently bought for the leader of the National Unity Platform, Robert Kyagulanyi following a tax dispute. The car was recently recalled by the tax authority on the grounds that the importers had under declared taxes on the vehicle. However, following weeks of protracted negotiations, the tax authority released the car back to Kyagulanyi’s lawyers. Kyagulanyi says government is still holding two more cars seized during the Arua fracas nearly two years ago.
