URA announces interest waiver on outstanding taxes
If you've been listed as a debtor by the Uganda Revenue Authority due to accumulated penalties and interest on unpaid domestic taxes since July 2023, there's now a chance to catch a break. The URA has announced an interest waiver on outstanding taxes to encourage compliance. Commissioner for Domestic Taxes, Sarah Chelangat, explained that this initiative is planned to support businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
