Uganda flags off first coffee shipment to Serbia, opening new market in the Balkans
Uganda has flagged off its first consignment of coffee to Serbia, two years after the initiative was launched by the President. The initial shipment consists of 15,000 kg of roasted coffee, valued at $16.50 per kilogram—amounting to a total of $247,500 or approximately 941 million Ugandan shillings.
The exports are expected to continue on a weekly basis. This development opens a new frontier in Europe—the Balkans—for Uganda’s agricultural products.
