Traders urged to reopen as Museveni suspends EFRIS penalties
John Kabanda, chairman of the Federation Uganda Traders Association, urges protesting traders to reopen their shops following a meeting with President Museveni. Museveni directed URA to suspend penalties associated with the EFRIS for one month as consultations continue. He will meet with technocrats on April 24th and with all traders on May 7th. URA reaffirms its commitment to facilitating trade and revenue collection.
