TOURISM SECTOR: Handicrafts makers urged to comply with regulatory standards
Youngsters now engaged in handicraft production business within the tourism and antiquities sector in Uganda, are being urged to ensure regulatory standards are complied with. Youths drawn from different handicraft product formations, in major protected areas are being taken through skilling and acquisition of ISO certification for their products targeted for the international market. This particular call from the International Trade Centre comes on the heels of renewed shifts across the global leisure, hospital and souvenir space which remains disrupted by the Covid 19 crisis.
