President Museveni warns Daily Monitor over COVID-19 vaccine story
President Museveni says he is planning to drag the Daily Monitor Newspaper to court over an article in which the publication claimed that the head of state's inner circle had been vaccinated against Covid-19. Quoting the Wall Street Journal, an American Newspaper, The Monitor said on the twenty third of last month, that people close to President Museveni had secretly taken jabs after being offered vaccines from China State-owned drug maker Sinopharm. On Monday President Museveni denied this, and urged the Daily Monitor to apologize hard, in order for him to drop the intending defamation charges.
