President Museveni apologises to Kenyans and Ugandans over Muhoozi's tweets
President Yoweri Museveni has apologized to the Kenyan Government and to Ugandans over the controversial tweets from his son and former Commander of the UPDF Land Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba. In the tweet, Muhoozi said that he and his army, pre-sum-ably the UPDF, could take over the Kenyan capital in two weeks. In his written apology, President Museveni also explained that despite the infraction, he had promoted Muhoozi to Four-Star General because of his other good deeds. However, as Ali Mivule reports, some political analysts have questioned the President’s decision to promote Muhoozi from Lt. Gen to General even after he made controversial comments.
