POWER THEFT: UMEME blamed for persistent vandalism
The resident district commissioners together with security agencies, police and the army in Ankole sub-region have faulted UMEME for the loss government is incurring due to vandalism of electricity infrastructure in the region. The government says that due to these actions, UMEME loses billions of shillings every year that can be used for other developments in the country.
