NRM CEC meeting under President Museveni amidst Roadmap suspension
President Museveni is set to chair a meeting of the National Resistance Movement Central Executive Committee this Friday. This comes shortly after 11 CEC members, in consultation with the first National Vice Chairman Alhaji Moses Kigongo, agreed to suspend the tentative NRM road map. Despite this, the activities outlined in the roadmap are proceeding as planned, with Museveni scheduled to launch the party registration exercise on Wednesday at the party headquarters in Kampala. There have been concerns within the NRM, but the party's Director of Information and Publicity, Emmanuel Lumala Dombo, assured in an interview with Jackson Onyango that the NRM is solid and that there will be no impact on the party.
