NRM cancels joint rallies for Hoima district chairperson by-election candidates
Dr Tanga Odoi, the NRM Party Electoral Commission Chairperson has cancelled Joint Rallies that had been planned for candidates who wish to hold the flag for the party in the forthcoming Hoima District Chairperson by-election. The resolution was made during a meeting with different stakeholders in Hoima Oil City. On Monday, six candidates boycotted the party’s joint campaigns in Kyabigambire Sub-County citing violence and intimidation by supporters of some of the candidates, bribery of voters, ferrying of people from other places etc. Dr. Odoi says the joint campaigns programme they were following will be restructured to allowed every candidate organise personal campaigns.
